Cook

Mary BREADMORE was born in Mildenhall (Minal), Wiltshire, in 1817, the daughter of William BREADMORE and Mary SIMS. In 1881, aged 58, she was living at 34 Long Street, Devizes, Wiltshire, and gave her occupation as a Cook. Mary had been a general house servant at the Manor House, Marden, Wiltshire, from about 1844 to 1871. There is no trace of her in 1891 but she was living with her niece in Mildenhall in 1901 and died there in 1905.

Jane BREADMORE, was born in 1821 to John and Jemima BREADMORE, in the Hungerford area, probably Chilton Foliat, although she gave her place of birth as Richmond, Surrey, on each census where she has been found. Jane was a servant in Richmond in 1841 and was a Cook in Cheltenham in 1851. She was a Cook at the Manor House in Turweston, Buckinghamshire in 1871, and was at the Manor House, Kings Sutton, Northamptonshire, in 1881. Jane died in Paddington in 1906.
