Cowman

Edwin BREADMORE, age 19, born Minchinhampton, son of James BREADMORE, a Gamekeeper from Brightwalton, Berkshire, and his wife Mary CHURCH.

Edwin was listed as a cowman in 1881 but by 1883, when he married his cousin Ada BREADMORE, he gave his occupation as a Woodman. Edwin stayed in the Minchinhampton area all his life. He died in 1916 and is buried in the Churchyard with his daughter Florence who died in 1897 aged 11.
