Charles Henry BREADMORE was born on 23 March 1862 in the Birmingham Registration District.
His father Charles BREADMORE was born at Brightwalton, Berkshire in 1831, and died in 1908 at Aston. His mother was Eliza TRENFIELD.
Charles Henry was the second child of Charles and Eliza. His siblings were Martha Elizabeth born 1858, Eliza Ellen born 1869 and Albert William born 1876.
The census of 1861 lists the family living at the 'Back of 55 Hospital Street, Birmingham'. In 1871 they were living at the 'Back of 423 New John Street, Birmingham' and in 1881 were at 31 New John St West, Birmingham.
Charles Henry was not with his family in 1881 as he had joined the Army the previous June. He spent over six years with the regular army and then five years as a reservist.
The service record (undated) of Charles Henry gives his next of kin as 'wife Ann with husband (address unknown)'.

Charles Henry died in Boston, Massachusetts, on 27 November 1909 where he had lived with Ann and where his two sons, Joseph and Charles were both born.
