Railway porter

Joseph BREADMORE was born about 1836 in Ashmansworth, Hampshire, the youngest son of Michael BREADMAN or BREADMORE of Ashmansworth and his wife Mary PRINCE.

In 1859 Joseph married Sarah BLANCHARD of Greenham and two years later they were living in Paddington where Joseph was descibed as a 'milk carrier' in the census. By 1871 he had become a Railway Porter and he continued with this occupation through to 1901, when he was living with his niece. Sarah died in 1891 and Joseph died in Paddington in 1921. There were no known children of the marriage.
